She heard a noise outside her window and her heart started racing. She peeked through the curtains and saw a shadowy figure lurking in the darkness. It was as black as coal and as silent as a mouse.

Lily’s fear grew stronger and she started to tremble. She felt like she was trapped in a nightmare. Suddenly, she heard a knock on her door. She froze in terror, thinking it was the shadowy figure coming to get her.

But then she heard her mom’s voice calling out to her. She opened the door and saw her mom holding a flashlight. Her mom hugged her tightly and told her everything was going to be okay.

Lily realized that fear was just a feeling and that it could be overcome with the help of loved ones. She felt safe and secure in her mom’s arms and knew that she would never be afraid again.
