My first day at a new school was exciting and scary. I didn’t know anyone there, and I was worried about making friends. As I walked through the big gates, my heart raced.
I found my classroom and saw a friendly teacher waiting for me. She introduced herself and showed me to my seat. The other kids looked at me curiously, but no one said anything mean.
During break time, I saw a group of kids playing soccer. I love soccer, so I decided to join them. They welcomed me with open arms and we had so much fun kicking the ball around.
In the afternoon, we had art class. I was nervous because I’m not very good at drawing. But the teacher encouraged me and said it’s all about having fun. I tried my best and ended up creating a colorful painting that made me proud.
At the end of the day, I realized that my worries were for nothing. The kids in my class were kind and inclusive. I made new friends and felt like I belonged. I couldn’t wait to go back to school the next day and continue this exciting journey.
