Grade 1 Science Assignment: Daily and Seasonal Changes

Objective: To observe and understand daily and seasonal changes in the environment.

Instructions: 1. Choose a location in your home or school where you can observe the outside environment easily. It could be a window, balcony, or a spot in the schoolyard. 2. Spend at least 10 minutes each day observing the changes in the environment. Look for any changes in the weather, plants, animals, or the sky. 3. Use the provided worksheet to record your observations. Fill in the date, draw a picture of what you see, and write a sentence or two describing the change you observed. 4. Complete the worksheet for a minimum of 5 days. You can choose to do it for a week or more if you wish. 5. After completing the observations, answer the following questions in your own words: a. What changes did you observe in the weather? b. Did you notice any changes in the plants or trees? If yes, what were they? c. Did you see any animals or birds? How were they different from the previous days? d. Did you notice any changes in the sky? What were they? e. How do you think these changes are related to the different seasons?
