Lesson 1 -

Introduction: Introduce the 7 times table and encourage the students to use visual aids to help them learn the table, such as charts and drawings.

Multiplication practice: Students can practice by doing a range of multiplication activities such as the 7’s counting game or skip counting.

Problem Solving: Show the students different problems involving the 7 times table and have them work out the answer. They can do this by using the tables they have just been practicing or by using the counting game.

Closure: For the closure of the lesson, the students can be asked to share the different ways they used to work out the problems.
Lesson 2 -

Introduction: Refresh the student’s memory of the 7 times table and have them practice again using the counting game and/or skip counting.

Multiplication practice: The students can practice by filling in a 7 times table sheet.

Problem solving: Ask the students to work out some problem solving questions related to the 7 times table. They could use what they’ve learnt from the multiplication practice and make use of the visuals they used before.

Closure: At the end of the lesson the students can be asked to think of two ways to apply their knowledge of the 7 times table in real life.
