In the murky depths of the water’s edge, A little axolotl fled from a predator’s pledge. Its tiny legs paddled with all their might, As it tried to escape the jaws of the night.
The predator’s eyes glinted with a fierce desire, As it chased the axolotl, its prey to acquire. But the little creature was quick and nimble, Darting through the water like a tiny missile.
Its gills flared with every breath it took, As it swam through the water, like a fish on the hook. The predator’s jaws snapped, but missed their mark, As the axolotl swam away, quick and dark.
The little creature knew it had to be smart, To outwit the predator, and make a quick depart. So it swam through the water, with all its might, Hoping to escape the predator’s sight.
Finally, the axolotl reached a safe place, Where it could rest, and catch its breath with grace. It looked back at the predator, with a sense of pride, Knowing that it had survived, and had not died.
So if you ever see an axolotl in the water, Remember its bravery, and its will to be a fighter. For even the smallest creatures can be strong, And can survive, even when things go wrong.
