Once I was a young child, innocent and free Playing with toys and dreaming of what I’d be But time flew by, and soon I was a teen Fighting for independence, chasing my dreams

At 20 years old, I thought I knew it all Living life fast, never thinking to fall But the world had other plans, and I stumbled and tripped Learning hard lessons, my pride took a hit

At 30, I found love, a partner for life Together we built a home, free from strife But as the years passed, we faced our share of pain Holding each other close, we weathered the strain

Now I’m 40, and I look back with pride At the life I’ve lived, the tears I’ve cried I’ve learned to love, to laugh, and to forgive And I know that with each year, I’ll continue to live.
