Faith had always been a girl who believed in peace. She never understood why people had to fight and hurt each other. Her father had been drafted to go to war, and she couldn’t bear the thought of him leaving. She begged him not to go, but he had no choice. He promised her that he would come back, but Faith couldn’t shake the feeling that something terrible was going to happen.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Faith’s mother tried to keep her spirits up, but Faith couldn’t help but worry. She would spend hours staring out the window, waiting for her father to come home. She wrote him letters every day, telling him about her life and how much she missed him.
One day, a letter arrived in the mail. Faith’s mother opened it and read the words that would change their lives forever. Faith’s father was not coming back. He had been killed in action. Faith’s mother tried to hold it together, but Faith couldn’t handle the news. She broke down in tears, screaming and crying for her father.
The next day, Faith left the house and wandered the streets. She couldn’t bear to be inside, surrounded by memories of her father. She felt lost and alone, with no one to turn to. As she walked, she thought about all the pain and suffering in the world. She couldn’t understand why people had to hurt each other.
In the end, Faith couldn’t take it anymore. She found a quiet corner of the city and took her own life. Her mother was devastated, unable to understand why her daughter had done such a thing. She was left with nothing but memories of a girl who had believed in peace, but couldn’t find it in the world around her.
