Intro: For generations, tales of Gretel and Hansel have been passed through time and space, of their wanderings in the deep dark woods searching for the way home. No one truly knows what happened to them, except for the rumors and legends that accompany their mysterious disappearance . . .

Main Body: For miles and miles Gretel and Hansel desperately searched for their way home, never finding any sign. Then one fateful night they stumbled upon a deep dark valley - the Valley of Tears as it was called. Both of them were overtaken with violent shivers as they entered the valley and made their way along its path.

Every now and again, they could faintly hear a voice calling out to them. It was faint but they knew it was coming from somewhere close by. Gretel wanted to turn around and leave, but Hansel kept pushing them forward, wanting to see what the voice was.

Finally, they reached the end of the valley and encountered a wooden house. The voice was calling louder and louder from the inside and then it stopped. Hansel and Gretel entered the house and were shocked at what they found. There was an old woman sitting in a large chair in the center of the room. She looked at them with a wicked smile and began to speak.

The old woman explained that she was a witch of the forest and she had lured them there with her powerful magic. She said there was only one way for Gretel and Hansel to escape the Valley of Tears and that was to have them both perform a ‘Trial of Fear’.

The witch sent them through a series of terrifying tasks and obstacles. The two were made to confront their deepest fears and faced death numerous times. But despite all this, they managed to make it through and return to the old woman.

The witch told them that they had passed her ‘Trial of Fear’ and could leave. As they were leaving, the witch cackled and told them that should anyone else ever find their way into the Valley of Tears, then they would face the same ‘Trial of Fear’ that Gretel and Hansel did.

Ending: Ever since then, people have whispered about the story of Gretel and Hansel and the ‘Trial of Fear’ they faced in the Valley of Tears. Whenever someone gets lost in the deep dark woods, they remember this mysterious disappearance and wonder if they too will face the same fate.
