Ask your students to draw five rows of two dotted lines each on a piece of paper.

Have the students write a number between 1 and 10 in each box at the bottom of the rows.

Instruct them to multiply each of the numbers by itself.

Have the students write their answers in the boxes at the top of each of the rows.

After they are finished, have them check their work and discuss any challenges they experienced.
