Recipe: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Ingredients: - 2 slices of bread (white, wheat, or gluten-free) - Peanut butter - Jelly or jam (any flavor) - Butter or margarine (optional)

Equipment: - Butter knife or spreading knife - Plate

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before starting.

  2. Place the two slices of bread on a clean plate.

  3. Open the jar of peanut butter and use a butter knife to scoop out a generous amount of peanut butter.

  4. Spread the peanut butter evenly on one side of one slice of bread. You can use the back of the knife to spread it smoothly.

  5. Open the jar of jelly or jam and use a clean butter knife to scoop out a desired amount.

  6. Spread the jelly or jam evenly on one side of the other slice of bread.

  7. If desired, you can add a small amount of butter or margarine to the other side of each slice of bread. This step is optional and can add extra flavor.

  8. Carefully place the slice of bread with peanut butter on top of the slice with jelly or jam, making sure the spreads are facing each other.

  9. Press the two slices of bread together gently to create a sandwich.

  10. If you prefer, you can cut the sandwich into halves or quarters using a butter knife.

  11. Your peanut butter and jelly sandwich is now ready to eat! Enjoy it as a snack or pack it for lunch.
