Story: The Creation Story

In the beginning, there was nothing but darkness and emptiness. God, the creator of all things, decided to bring light and life into this void. He spoke, “Let there be light,” and suddenly, a brilliant light illuminated the darkness. God saw that the light was good, and He separated it from the darkness, calling the light “day” and the darkness “night.”

On the second day, God created the sky and separated the waters below from the waters above. He called the expanse “sky.” On the third day, God gathered the waters below and created dry land, which He called “earth.” He also caused plants and trees to grow on the land, each bearing its own kind of seed.

On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and stars to govern the day and night, to mark the seasons, and to give light to the earth. On the fifth day, God filled the waters with living creatures, including fish and birds. He blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply.”

On the sixth day, God created land animals, each according to its kind. Then, God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.” So, God created man and woman, Adam and Eve, and blessed them. He gave them dominion over all the creatures on earth and instructed them to be fruitful and multiply.

Finally, on the seventh day, God rested from all His work. He blessed the seventh day and made it holy, calling it the Sabbath.
