Chapter 1-4 of The Hunger Games is about a brave girl named Katniss who lives in a place called District 12. She loves her little sister Prim very much and takes care of her. Katniss is very good at hunting and uses a bow and arrow to catch food for her family. One day, the people in charge of the Hunger Games choose Prim to participate in the dangerous competition. But Katniss volunteers to take her place because she loves her sister so much. Katniss goes to the Capitol, where the Hunger Games take place, and meets a boy named Peeta. They become friends and train together for the games. Katniss is very strong and smart, and she wants to win the games to protect her family.
