Chapter 4 of “The Only Child Club” is called “The Secret Meeting.” In this chapter, the main character, Matthew, who is an only child, decides to start a club for other only children. He wants to find other kids who understand what it’s like to be an only child and share their experiences.

Matthew makes a plan to have a secret meeting in his treehouse. He invites his friend, Jessica, who is also an only child, to join the club. They both think it’s a great idea and can’t wait to meet other only children.

On the day of the meeting, Matthew and Jessica climb up to the treehouse and wait for the other members to arrive. They are excited but also a little nervous. They wonder if anyone will show up and if their club will be a success.

Soon, they hear footsteps approaching the treehouse. It’s another only child named Jack, who lives nearby. He saw the sign Matthew put up about the club and wanted to join. Matthew and Jessica are happy to have another member and welcome Jack into the club.

The three of them start talking and sharing their experiences of being only children. They realize that they have a lot in common and understand each other’s feelings. They laugh and have fun together, feeling happy to have found other kids who understand them.

At the end of the chapter, Matthew suggests that they should have more secret meetings and invite more only children to join their club. They all agree and can’t wait to meet more kids like them.
