Chapter 6: In chapter 6 of the book Kite Runner, the main character named Amir is now twelve years old. He lives in Afghanistan with his father, Baba. Amir has a best friend named Hassan, who is also his servant. They love flying kites together. One day, they participate in a kite-flying competition, and Amir wins. But something terrible happens when Hassan goes to find the kite that Amir cut down. He encounters a group of bullies who hurt him. Amir sees what is happening but is too scared to help Hassan. This makes Amir feel guilty and ashamed.

Chapter 7: In chapter 7, Amir’s guilt continues to haunt him. He tries to avoid Hassan because he doesn’t want to be reminded of what happened. Chapter 8: In chapter 8, winter arrives in Afghanistan, and everything changes. The weather becomes very cold, and the streets are covered in snow. Amir and Hassan continue to fly kites, but their friendship is not the same. Amir tries to distance himself from Hassan, and this hurts Hassan’s feelings. One day, Amir decides to test Hassan’s loyalty by pretending to accuse him of stealing. Hassan admits to the theft, even though he didn’t do it, to protect Amir.
