The Articles chapter in the English grammar book teaches us about three little words that we use before nouns - a, an, and the. A and an are used before singular nouns to show that we are talking about any one of that thing. The is used before singular or plural nouns to show that we are talking about a specific thing. We use a before words that start with a consonant sound and an before words that start with a vowel sound. Remember to use the right article before a noun to make your sentences clear!
