The final chapter of Malamander sees the two main characters, Herbie and Violet, facing their final challenge. With the help of their magical allies, they manage to locate and rescue the missing Child of the Sun, only to discover they must defeat the powerful and evil Malamander in order to save the day. With a final act of courage and trust in the power of friendship however, the pair are able to defeat the monster and restore the peace to Eerie-on-Sea. Violet and Herbie return home, ready to make the most of their new adventures with the knowledge that their friendship is truly unbreakable.
