Week 1: - Introduction to the topic: Racket skills in badminton and tennis - Discuss the importance of physical activity and its benefits for health and wellbeing - Introduce basic movement skills required for racket sports (e.g., hand-eye coordination, footwork, grip) - Demonstrate and practice basic racket skills (e.g., forehand and backhand shots)
Week 2: - Review and reinforce basic racket skills - Introduce and practice more advanced shots (e.g., drop shots, smashes) - Discuss and demonstrate strategies for playing singles and doubles matches - Engage in small-sided games to apply learned skills and strategies
Week 3: - Focus on improving accuracy and control in racket skills - Introduce drills and exercises to enhance hand-eye coordination and footwork - Discuss the importance of teamwork and communication in doubles matches - Engage in cooperative activities and drills to develop teamwork skills
Week 4: - Introduce the rules and regulations of badminton and tennis - Practice playing matches in both sports, following the rules - Encourage students to apply learned skills and strategies in game situations - Provide opportunities for students to reflect on their performance and identify areas for improvement
Week 5: - Consolidate learning by reviewing and practicing all previously learned skills and strategies - Engage in friendly tournaments or mini-competitions to apply skills in a competitive setting - Encourage students to demonstrate creativity in their shot selection and game strategies - Provide feedback and support to students to help them improve their performance
Week 6: - Reflect on the learning journey throughout the topic - Discuss the transferability of racket skills to other sports and activities - Encourage students to set personal goals for further improvement in racket skills - Celebrate achievements and progress made by students throughout the topic
