Week 1: Introduction to the Incas and their economic organization - Watch a short video about the Incas and their economic system - Discuss what we already know about the Incas and their culture - Introduce the concept of economic organization and how it relates to the Incas

Week 2: Exploring Inca artifacts and images - Look at pictures of Inca artifacts and discuss their significance - Have students bring in items or images that are important to them and discuss their personal significance - Compare and contrast the Inca artifacts with the personal items brought in by students

Week 3: Inca society and its economic organization - Discuss the different social classes in Inca society and how they related to the economic system - Have students create a visual representation of the Inca social hierarchy - Discuss how the economic system was organized to benefit the entire society

Week 4: Inca agriculture and trade - Discuss the importance of agriculture in the Inca economy - Have students create a model of an Inca terrace farm - Discuss the Inca trade system and how it contributed to the economy
