Activity: Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, and Adverbs:

1. Divide the class into 4 groups and assign each group a different part of speech.

2. Give them a list of 5 words to research (3 nouns, 1 verb, and 1 adjective or adverb).

3. Have them find out the definitions of each word, how to use it in a sentence, and give an example.

4. Have each group present their findings in front of the class.

5. Ask the class to come up with a sentence using the 5 words.

6. You can add some points for the group that came up with the funniest or most creative sentence.

7. After all the groups have presented, have a quiz to test the class’s knowledge.

8. Award a small prize for the class member with the highest score.
