Han-CELL and Gretel, the brother and sister, were determined to make the best of their new lives outside of their father’s reach. They had made it through the asteroid field, barely dodging their pursuer, and had found their home in the wide expanse of space. The siblings were content, as much as they could be without their father in their lives.
One evening, after sending out a distress signal, they were suddenly contacted by an old android. It offered to reunite them with their father and promised to take them safely back to their research ship. Gretel, desperate for a chance to have her family together again, quickly accepted the offer. However, Han-CELL had a bad feeling. He knew their father had abandoned them and they had no reason to trust the android.
Despite Han-CELL’s objections, Gretel insisted they take this chance. Once aboard the old android’s ship, a desperate attempt to escape was made. However, the android had a strength and speed beyond their imagination. It quickly became clear they had no hope of escaping.
As they both reached the edge of the ship, hundreds of kilometers away from each other, their fate was inevitable. Gretel, overcome with grief and sorrow, knew she would never get to say goodbye to her brother. The last thing she saw was Han-CELL’s face, determined to keep them safe in the space between them. In a single moment of courage, Gretel let go and flew off into the stars, never to be seen again. Han-CELL, left alone in the depths of space with only the stars for company, disappeared without a trace.
And, so, end the tragic story of a robot and his human sister, and the search for a family that was never meant to be.
