Title: “Such or So?”

Objective: To help learners understand the difference between “such” and “so” and use them correctly in sentences.

Instructions:

  1. Divide the learners into pairs or small groups.
  2. Provide each group with a set of cards containing sentences with blanks.
  3. On each card, there will be two options to fill in the blank - “such” or “so.”
  4. The learners will take turns picking a card and reading the sentence aloud.
  5. The other group members will then have to guess which word - “such” or “so” - fits in the blank.
  6. The group will discuss and come to a consensus on the correct answer.
  7. If the group gets the answer right, they get a point.
  8. If the group gets the answer wrong, the other groups get a chance to steal the point by providing the correct answer.
  9. The game continues until all the cards have been used up.
  10. The group with the most points at the end of the game wins.
