Title: “Such or So?”
Objective: To help learners understand the difference between “such” and “so” and use them correctly in sentences.
Instructions:
- Divide the learners into pairs or small groups.
- Provide each group with a set of cards containing sentences with blanks.
- On each card, there will be two options to fill in the blank - “such” or “so.”
- The learners will take turns picking a card and reading the sentence aloud.
- The other group members will then have to guess which word - “such” or “so” - fits in the blank.
- The group will discuss and come to a consensus on the correct answer.
- If the group gets the answer right, they get a point.
- If the group gets the answer wrong, the other groups get a chance to steal the point by providing the correct answer.
- The game continues until all the cards have been used up.
- The group with the most points at the end of the game wins.
