  1. Draw a picture of a bird flying in the sky. Label the different pathways it can take.
  2. Watch a video of different animals moving (e.g. a dog running, a fish swimming, a snake slithering). Write or draw how each animal moves along its pathway.
  3. Go on a nature walk and observe different objects or animals moving. Record your observations in a journal, describing the pathways they take.
  4. Play a game of “Simon Says” where the leader gives instructions for different pathways to move along (e.g. hop like a bunny, crawl like a snake, walk like a crab). Describe and record the pathways you and your friends take.
  5. Create a collage using pictures from magazines or drawings of objects or animals moving along different pathways. Label each pathway and describe how the object or animal moves.
  6. Use building blocks or LEGO to create different pathways for a toy car or animal figurine to move along. Describe and record the pathways you create.
  7. Watch a video or read a book about different modes of transportation (e.g. cars, trains, boats). Describe and record the pathways each mode of transportation takes.
  8. Play a game of “Follow the Leader” where the leader moves along different pathways (e.g. zigzag, circle, straight line) and the other players have to imitate the pathway. Describe and record the pathways you and your friends take.
  9. Use a toy or stuffed animal to act out different movements along different pathways (e.g. jumping over a pretend river, crawling under a pretend tunnel). Describe and record the pathways the toy or animal takes.
  10. Create a mini obstacle course using household objects (e.g. pillows, chairs) and have a toy or stuffed animal navigate through it. Describe and record the pathways the toy or animal takes.
