Lesson 1: Introduction to the Crucible

Objective: Students will be able to understand the historical context and background of the play.

Activities: 1. Watch a short video about the Salem Witch Trials and discuss the historical context of the play. 2. Read the introduction to the play and discuss the themes and motifs. 3.
