Lesson 1: Introduction to the Crucible
Objective: Students will be able to understand the historical context and background of the play.
Activities: 1. Watch a short video about the Salem Witch Trials and discuss the historical context of the play. 2. Read the introduction to the play and discuss the themes and motifs. 3. Assign a short writing assignment where students reflect on what they learned about the historical context and how it relates to the play.
Lesson 2: Character Analysis
Objective: Students will be able to analyze the characters in the play and understand their motivations.
Activities: 1. Assign each student a character from the play and have them research and present on their character’s motivations and actions. 2.
