Chapter 1: 1. Animals on Manor Farm are unhappy and mistreated by their human owner, Mr. Jones. 2. Old Major, a wise and respected pig, gathers all the animals together to share his dream of a world where animals are free from human oppression. 3. Old Major teaches the animals a song called “Beasts of England,” which becomes their anthem for freedom and equality. 4. Old Major passes away, but his ideas inspire the animals to rebel against Mr. Jones and take control of the farm.
Chapter 2: 1. The animals successfully overthrow Mr. Jones and rename the farm “Animal Farm.” 2. The pigs, led by Snowball and Napoleon, take charge and establish the Seven Commandments, which outline the principles of Animalism. 3. The animals work together to rebuild the farm and create a fair and equal society. 4. Snowball and Napoleon have different ideas on how to run the farm, leading to disagreements and power struggles. 5. Snowball introduces the idea of building a windmill to make life easier for the animals, but Napoleon opposes it. 6. Napoleon secretly raises a pack of puppies to become his personal bodyguards, which worries some of the other animals. 7. Snowball and Napoleon engage in a heated debate about the windmill, and Napoleon unexpectedly orders his dogs to chase Snowball away from the farm. 8. With Snowball gone, Napoleon takes full control of Animal Farm and declares himself the leader.
