Narrator: When they arrived in Bethlehem, they found no place to stay, as the town was crowded with people who had also come to register for the census. With no other options, they sought shelter in a humble stable.

Narrator: It was in this humble stable that Mary gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, as there was no crib available.

Narrator: In the nearby fields, shepherds were tending to their flocks. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them.

Angel: Do not be afraid! I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Narrator: Overwhelmed by the angel’s message, the shepherds hurriedly made their way to Bethlehem to see this miraculous child.

Narrator: As they entered the stable, they found Mary, Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger, just as the angel had said.
