Adverbs - A Fun Worksheet for Primary 5 Pupils Instructions:

  1. Start by discussing with the class what adverbs are and how they’re used. Explain how adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.

  2. Using the worksheet, have the pupils circle all of the adverbs they see.

  3. When they have finished, ask the pupils to read each sentence they’ve highlighted aloud.

Sentences:

  1. She walked slowly down the street.
  2. He sang beautifully at the concert.
  3. I too quickly finished my math assignment.
  4. We often play tag in the park.
  5. Don’t be so easily discouraged.
  6. Do your work very carefully.
