Week 1:

Day 1: Fluency - Reread the book together as a class, focusing on fluency. - Practice reading with expression, using punctuation cues. - Have students take turns reading aloud to a partner.

Day 2: Phonemic awareness - Review segmenting and blending sounds in words. - Introduce a new phonemic awareness skill, such as syllable segmentation. - Practice breaking words into syllables and blending them back together.

Day 3: Phonics - Review the previously taught phonics pattern. - Introduce a new phonics pattern, such as consonant blends. - Practice reading and spelling words with the new pattern.

Day 4: Vocabulary - Review the previously taught vocabulary words. - Introduce new vocabulary words from the book. - Have students create flashcards or use context clues to determine the meanings of the words.

Day 5: Comprehension - Have students read the book independently or in small groups. - Provide comprehension questions or a graphic organizer for students to complete. - Discuss the book as a class, focusing on key details and understanding of the text.

Throughout the two weeks, continue to reinforce phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension skills through various activities and practice opportunities. Use decodable texts or leveled readers that align with the reading level B to provide appropriate reading material for students.
