Materials: - Whiteboard or blackboard - Markers or chalk - Noun flashcards or pictures - Worksheets or handouts with sentences for noun identification

Warm-up (5 minutes): - Begin the lesson by asking students to brainstorm as many nouns as they can in one minute. - Write their responses on the board and discuss the different types of nouns (common, proper, concrete, abstract, etc.).

Introduction (10 minutes): - Explain to students that nouns are words that name people, places, things, or ideas. - Show flashcards or pictures of different nouns and ask students to identify them. - Discuss the characteristics of each noun and ask students to provide examples of their own.

Guided Practice (15 minutes): - Provide students with worksheets or handouts containing sentences. - Instruct students to identify the nouns in each sentence and write them down. - Walk around the classroom to provide assistance and answer any questions.

Independent Practice (15 minutes): - Divide students into pairs or small groups. - Give each group a set of noun flashcards or pictures. - Instruct students to take turns picking a card and using the noun in a sentence. - Encourage students to be creative and use different types of nouns.

Closure (5 minutes): - Review the concept of nouns and ask students to share any new nouns they learned during the lesson. - Summarize the different types of nouns and their characteristics. - Assign a short homework assignment where students have to find and write down five nouns they encounter in their daily lives.

Extension Activity: - Have students create their own noun flashcards or pictures and play a game of “Noun Bingo” as a review activity in the next class.

Assessment: - Monitor students’ participation and understanding during the guided and independent practice activities. - Collect and review the completed worksheets or handouts to assess students’ ability to identify nouns in sentences.
