Warm-up (5 minutes): 1. Begin the lesson by asking students what they think the word “respect” means. Write their responses on the chart paper. 2. Discuss their answers and provide a simple definition of respect, such as “Respect means treating others the way you want to be treated.”

Introduction (10 minutes): 1. Show the picture cards depicting respectful behaviors one by one. 2. Ask students to identify the actions they see and explain why they think those actions show respect. 3. Discuss as a class why it is important to show respect towards others, themselves, and the environment.

Activity 1: Respectful Behaviors Sorting (15 minutes): 1. Divide the class into small groups. 2. Distribute the picture cards among the groups. 3. Instruct the students to sort the cards into three categories: Respectful towards Others, Respectful towards Themselves, and Respectful towards the Environment. 4. After sorting, have each group share their categories and explain their reasoning.

Activity 2: Respectful Behavior Collage (20 minutes): 1. Give each student a piece of construction paper, scissors, glue stick, and crayons/colored pencils. 2. Instruct the students to cut out pictures from magazines or draw their own pictures depicting respectful behaviors. 3. Have the students glue their pictures onto the construction paper to create a respectful behavior collage. 4. Encourage students to label or write a short sentence explaining each picture. 5. Allow time for students to share their collages with the class.

Discussion (10 minutes): 1. Lead a class discussion about the different ways they can show respect in their daily lives. 2. Write their responses on the chart paper. 3. Discuss the importance of respecting themselves, others, and the environment.

Conclusion (5 minutes): 1. Distribute the Respectful Behavior Checklist to each student. 2. Instruct them to take it home and try to practice at least one respectful behavior each day. 3. Encourage students to share their experiences with the class in the next session.

Assessment: - Observe students’ participation and engagement during discussions and activities. - Review the respectful behavior collages to assess their understanding of respectful behaviors. - Collect and review the Respectful Behavior Checklists to see if students are applying what they have learned.

Extension Activity: - Have students create a short skit or role-play demonstrating respectful behaviors in different scenarios. - Invite a guest speaker, such as a community leader or a school counselor, to talk about the importance of respect in their profession.
