Procedure:
- Introduction (5 minutes):
- Begin the lesson by asking students about their favorite activities or hobbies.
- Discuss the concept of weekends and explain that weekends are a time when people have free time to engage in activities they enjoy.
- Share some examples of activities and hobbies that people often do during the weekend.
- Brainstorming Activity (10 minutes):
- Create a chart on the chart paper titled “Weekend Activities and Hobbies.”
- Ask students to share their ideas about different activities and hobbies they can do during the weekend.
- Write down their responses on the chart paper.
- Encourage students to think beyond common activities and hobbies, such as reading, playing sports, drawing, etc.
- Activity Exploration (15 minutes):
- Show pictures or flashcards representing various activities and hobbies.
- Discuss each picture with the students, explaining what the activity or hobby is and how it can be done.
- Encourage students to ask questions and share their thoughts about each activity or hobby.
- Display the pictures or flashcards on a bulletin board for reference.
- Art and Writing Activity (15 minutes):
- Distribute construction paper, glue sticks, and scissors to each student.
- Instruct students to choose one activity or hobby from the bulletin board that they would like to try during the weekend.
- Have students cut out the picture or flashcard of their chosen activity or hobby and glue it onto their construction paper.
