    • Ask students to identify the verb and tell its past tense form.
    • Write the regular and irregular past tense verbs on the board.
    • Discuss the patterns and differences between regular and irregular verbs.
  3. Explain (10 minutes):
    • Provide a clear explanation of regular and irregular past tense verbs.
    • Regular verbs: add “-ed” to the base form of the verb (e.g., walk - walked).
    • Irregular verbs: change the base form of the verb (e.g., go - went).
    • Write examples of regular and irregular past tense verbs on the board.
  4. Elaborate (15 minutes):
    • Distribute worksheets with fill-in-the-blank sentences.
    • Instruct students to fill in the blanks with the correct past tense form of the verb.
    • Circulate the classroom to provide assistance and monitor progress.
    • Review the answers as a class and discuss any challenges or questions.
  5. Evaluate (5 minutes):
