Procedure:
Day 1: Introduction and Overview 1. Begin the lesson by asking students if they have heard of the Seven Wonders of the World. Write their responses on the chart paper. 2. Show pictures or models of the Seven Wonders of the World and briefly discuss each one, highlighting their locations and historical significance. 3. Explain to students that they will be researching and presenting information about one of the wonders. 4. Divide the class into small groups and assign each group one of the wonders. 5. Provide students with books, articles, or online resources to conduct their research. 6. In their groups, students should create a list of questions they want to answer about their assigned wonder.
Day 2: Research and Note-taking 1. Allow students time to conduct their research using the provided resources. 2. Encourage students to take notes on important facts, historical context, and interesting details about their assigned wonder. 3. Circulate the classroom to provide guidance and support as needed.
Day 3: Presentation Preparation 1. In their groups, students should organize their notes and create a visual aid (poster, slideshow, etc.) to accompany their presentation. 2. Remind students to include key information such as the wonder’s location, historical significance, and interesting facts. 3. Encourage creativity and the use of visuals to engage their audience.
Day 4: Presentations 1. Each group will present their findings to the class. 2. Allow time for questions and discussion after each presentation. 3. Encourage students to take notes on the other wonders presented by their classmates.
