Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Greet the children and gather them in a circle. 2. Begin by asking the children if they know what it means to be healthy. 3. Show them a picture of a healthy child and ask them to describe what they see. 4. Explain that being healthy means taking care of our bodies and doing things that make us feel good.
Activity 1: Healthy vs. Unhealthy Foods (10 minutes): 1. Show the children the picture cards of healthy and unhealthy foods. 2. Ask them to identify the healthy foods and place them on one side of the poster paper. 3. Repeat the process with the unhealthy foods, placing them on the other side of the poster paper. 4. Discuss the importance of eating healthy foods to keep our bodies strong and energized.
Activity 2: Physical Activities (10 minutes): 1. Show the children the picture cards of different physical activities. 2. Ask them to identify the activities and demonstrate how to do them. 3. Play some upbeat music and encourage the children to participate in the activities. 4. Discuss how physical activities help our bodies grow strong and keep us fit.
Activity 3: Personal Hygiene (10 minutes): 1. Show the children the picture cards of personal hygiene items. 2. Ask them to identify the items and explain their uses. 3. Discuss the importance of brushing teeth, washing hands, and taking baths to stay clean and healthy. 4. Encourage the children to demonstrate how to brush their teeth and wash their hands.
Conclusion (5 minutes): 1. Recap the lesson by asking the children what they have learned about being healthy. 2. Emphasize the importance of eating healthy foods, being physically active, and practicing good hygiene. 3. Sing a song about health or play a short video related to the theme. 4. Thank the children for their participation and encourage them to continue practicing healthy habits.
Extension Activity: Provide coloring sheets featuring healthy foods, physical activities, and personal hygiene items for the children to color at home. Encourage them to share what they have learned with their families and practice healthy habits together.
