Learning Intention: Students will be able to identify and describe 3D objects and their properties.

Lesson Plan

Objectives: 1. Students will be able to identify 3D objects and their properties 2. Student’s will gain an understanding of the various properties of 3D objects

Materials: - 3D objects - Notecards - marker

Procedure: 1. Introduce students to the lesson aims and objectives 2. Explain that the 3D objects in the room have attributes that differentiate them from other 3D objects 3. Ask students to observe and identify the 3D objects in the room. 4. Give each student a notecard and marker. Ask them to write down the properties of the 3D objects on the card. 5. Monitor instructional time to ensure students have enough time to identify the objects. 6. Introduce a guided discussion that allows students to elaborates on the various properties of the 3D objects. 7. Allow enough time for students to discuss the attributes of the various 3D objects. 8. Wrap up the lesson by summarizing the main learning points of the lesson.

Assessment: - Observe student’s interactions during the guided discussion - Monitor student’s answer to the questions related to the properties of the 3D objects - Assess notecards at the end of the lesson
