Learning Intention: Students will be able to plan their schoolwork effectively.

Objectives: At the end of this lesson, students should be able to: 1. Identify what tasks they need to complete and by when 2. Understand the importance of planning both long-term and short-term goals 3. Employ best practices for studying, such as taking breaks and setting due dates

Activity: 1. Students will be presented with a scenario of a student with a heavy workload for the week ahead. 2. Working either individually or in pairs, students will be asked to create a timeline of when particular tasks should be done in order to meet the end goals of the project. 3. They will then present their plan to the class and receive feedback from peers.

Discussion: 1. Allow students to share their experiences with planning, and how it has helped them. 2. Ask students to identify any strategies they used to plan their tasks. 3. Use the discussion to discuss any difficulties they faced while planning, and how they were able to overcome them.

Conclusion: 1. Reinforce the importance of planning, and how it can help set up successful outcomes. 2. Summarize the best practices for planning, such as setting realistic due dates and taking regular breaks. 3. Reinforce the importance of taking the right amount of breaks based on the task at hand.
