Slide 1: Social Studies Homework Policy

• Homework consists of current events, Newsela, unfinished classwork, and assessment preparation.
• Homework is posted on Google Classroom and visible on the student’s Google Calendar.

Slide 2: Late Homework Policy

• Students can turn in late homework (one day late) for half credit, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
• After the additional day, the grade will remain a zero for the assignment.

Slide 3: Seeking Help

• If a student is having difficulty understanding an assignment, they should email the teacher before class the next day.

Slide 4: Grading Policy

• Classwork/homework/current events are factored into the cycle average of the students.
• They are also factored into the effort grade on the report card.

Slide 5: Supplies

• In addition to written work, students should check that their supplies for class, including their charged Chromebook, are in their backpack each night.

Slide 6: Grading Profile

• Homework/Classwork/Current Events = 30% of your cycle grade
• Assessments (Tests, Quizzes, Projects) = 70% of your cycle grade
