In the rainforest all around
I see trees of every hue
Leaves of red and yellow, green
And even tints of blue

Insects like butterflies afar
Climb through the twigs and twine
Caterpillars sticky and slow,
It’s an incredible sight for mine

Birds of many colour and size
Flit from trunk to trunk
To sing their sweet melody
Their song no one can out stunt

The warmth of the sun beats down
Reflecting off the foliage
Giving life to the vast expanse
Protecting from any siege

O, the rainforest a wondrous place
It rightfully deserves its fame
A joy to explore, a marvel to behold
A never-ending source of wonder and awe.
