Organizational Structure for Obstetricians/Gynecologists:

  1. Chief Medical Officer (CMO):
    • Job Description: Oversees the entire Obstetrics and Gynecology department, sets goals and objectives, ensures quality patient care, and manages resources.
    • Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Develops departmental policies and procedures.
      • Coordinates with other departments and medical staff.
      • Monitors and evaluates the performance of the department.
      • Ensures compliance with medical standards and regulations.
    • Work Experience: Extensive experience as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, leadership skills, and management experience.
    • Education/Qualifications: Medical degree, board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and administrative training.
  2. Obstetricians/Gynecologists:
    • Job Description: Provide medical care to women, specializing in pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health.
    • Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Conduct routine check-ups, screenings, and examinations.
      • Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions.
      • Monitor pregnancies and provide prenatal care.
      • Perform deliveries and assist in cesarean sections.
      • Educate patients on reproductive health and family planning.
    • Work Experience: Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, experience in managing pregnancies and performing surgeries.
    • Education/Qualifications: Medical degree, completion of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, and board certification.
  3. Nurse Practitioners/Midwives:
    • Job Description: Assist Obstetricians/Gynecologists in providing patient care, perform routine procedures, and provide patient education.
    • Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Conduct initial patient assessments and history taking.
      • Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings.
      • Assist in prenatal care and postpartum follow-ups.
      • Educate patients on contraception methods and reproductive health.
    • Work Experience: Experience in women’s health, preferably in an Obstetrics and Gynecology setting.
    • Education/Qualifications: Nursing degree, certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Midwife, and relevant clinical experience.
  4. Medical Assistants:
    • Job Description: Support Obstetricians/Gynecologists in administrative and clinical tasks.
    • Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
      • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
      • Assist in patient intake and vital signs measurement.
      • Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection.
    • Work Experience: Experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a women’s health or OB/GYN setting.
    • Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, medical assistant certification, and knowledge of medical terminology.
