Dooby: (approaching Zoe) Who are you? What are you doing here?

Zoe: (startled) Oh, hi. My name is Zoe. I came here because I had to flee from Norwich. I was being chased away.

Spat: (suspiciously) Chased away? Why would anyone chase you away?

Zoe: (hesitantly) I…I don’t know. I think it’s because I spoke up against something that was wrong.

Munchkin: (sarcastically) Oh, how noble of you. But we don’t believe you. You could be a spy.

Zoe: (defensively) A spy? No, I’m not a spy. I just need some help.

Dooby: (skeptically) Help? What kind of help?

Zoe: (looking around) Well, I need food, water, and shelter. And maybe some information about this island.

Spat: (laughing) Information? What do you think we are, a tourist center?

Munchkin: (smirking) Yeah, we don’t give out information to strangers.

Zoe: (disappointed) Oh, I see. Well, I guess I’ll just have to figure it out on my own.

Dooby: (noticing Zoe’s boat) Wait a minute. What’s that over there?

Zoe: (turning around) Oh, that’s my boat. I used it to get here.

Spat: (interested) Your boat? Can we see it?

Zoe: (cautiously) Um, sure. But why do you want to see it?

Munchkin: (grinning) Because we need a boat to get off this island.

Zoe: (surprised) Oh, I see. Well, I guess we could work something out.

Dooby: (nodding) Yeah, we could help you with food, water, and shelter if you let us use your boat.

Zoe: (thinking) Okay, that sounds fair. But we need to make sure it’s in good condition first.

Spat: (rolling his eyes) Of course, we’ll check it out. But don’t try anything funny, or we’ll make sure you regret it.

Zoe: (nodding) I understand. Let’s go check out the boat.
