Dear Parents,
I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits. I would like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout this challenging quarter. Your efforts in keeping our students up to date with their assignments and readings have not gone unnoticed, and we truly appreciate your dedication.
As we approach the end of November, I wanted to take a moment to highlight the remarkable work our grade 9 students have been producing. They have been exploring the concept of breaking down barriers through various texts and have impressed us with their composition of original fairy tales. Our first quiz yielded excellent results, and we are excited to witness this level of dedication continue in our upcoming second quiz and semester exam.
In the coming weeks, we will be wrapping up our unit on true crime. Our students have been honing important skills such as summarizing, paraphrasing, and making inferences about theme. Additionally, they have been diligently working on expanding their vocabulary. It has been a pleasure to witness their growth and development in these areas.
As we return from winter break, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a joyous and prosperous new year. May it be filled with happiness, good health, and success.
Moving forward, we will be embarking on Unit 4: Love and Loss, Shakespearean Drama, specifically focusing on the timeless tale of Romeo and Juliet. This unit will provide our students with an opportunity to delve into the complexities of love, loss, and the power of Shakespeare’s words. Alongside this, we will also be placing a greater emphasis on developing their writing skills and grammar lessons.
Once again, I would like to express my gratitude for your ongoing support. Your partnership in your child’s education is invaluable, and I am always here to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Warm regards,
Dalal Alsayyar
