  1. Frisbee Pass: Divide your group into two teams, standing in a line and a respectable distance apart. The first member of each team starts by tossing the frisbee (or other throwing device) to another teammate. The other team then attempts to catch the frisbee before it hits the ground. If successful, they then continue the toss to one of their teammates. If the frisbee is dropped or caught by the other team, then their opponents score a point. Play continues like this until one team receives a predetermined number of points.

  2. Chicken: Divide your pupils into two equal teams. Designate a starting position for each team, as well as an end zone. The goal is for each team to move from the starting position to the end zone without being tagged by members of the opposite team. Each team takes turns sending one member of their team at a time to the other team’s end zone while the rest of the group forms a human chain blocking the other team’s pathway. If a runner is successfully tagged, they must join the chain, and the game starts again.

  3. Keep It Up: Start by having your pupils separate into two teams. One team throws a beach ball (or other light-weight ball) into the air and the other team must keep it up. The team that is keeping the ball up must use only their hands, arms and upper-body strength. The goal is to keep the ball up without it hitting the ground. If the ball is dropped, the other team earns a point.

  4. Four Corners: Form four groups of equal numbers and stand in the corners of the playing area. On ‘go’, each of the teams runs towards the center to attempt to claim an area for themselves. Each team must defend their corner when other players attempt to join in. If an opponent is able to enter someone else’s corner, the original owner is sent back to the start. The winner is the last team standing.
