To determine if a graph represents a function, you can use the vertical line test.

If you can draw a vertical line that intersects the graph at only one point for every x-value, then the graph represents a function. This is because a function can only have one output (y-value) for each input (x-value).

If you draw a vertical line and it intersects the graph at more than one point for any x-value, then the graph does not represent a function.
