Mentored dozens of students during independent research projects at local, state, and international levels.

Contributions to Education in Arkansas: 2011: Established the first for-credit high school Astronomy course in the state of Arkansas by writing curriculum connected to national science standards and filing with the state department of education. Assisted other Arkansas school districts with the implementation of this new course and established community partnerships in the Little Rock area for astronomy students.

2015: Contributor to Arkansas K-12 Science Standards. Worked with a team of college professors and Department of Education members to draft, write, and publish the new state science standards. Focused on Astronomy course curriculum, standards, and expected outcomes for student learning.
