Title: Director of Maternal Health Care
Job Description: The Director of Maternal Health Care is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of maternal health care services within the hospital. They are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to pregnant women and new mothers, as well as coordinating with other departments to provide comprehensive care. The Director is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to maternal health care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the budget for the department.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the maternal health care department. 2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to pregnant women and new mothers. 3. Coordinate with other departments to provide comprehensive care, including obstetrics, gynecology, neonatology, and nursing. 4. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to maternal health care. 5. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines. 6. Manage the budget for the maternal health care department. 7. Recruit, train, and supervise staff members within the department. 8. Collaborate with community organizations and healthcare providers to improve maternal health outcomes. 9. Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in maternal health care. 10. Participate in professional development activities and conferences.
Education Background: - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field (required) - Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field (preferred)
Work Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in maternal health care, including experience in a leadership or management role. - Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures. - Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines related to maternal health care. - Strong leadership and management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. - Knowledge of current research and advancements in maternal health care. - Experience in budget management.
