The era in which no fossil remains are obtained is known as the Precambrian era. This era spans from the formation of the Earth, approximately 4.6 billion years ago, to the beginning of the Cambrian period, around 541 million years ago. Fossil records from this era are extremely rare and limited, making it difficult to study the life forms that existed during this time.
