Introduction (10 minutes): 1. Write the three verb tenses (past, present, future) on the board. 2. Ask students to define each tense and provide examples of verbs in each tense. 3. Discuss the importance of using the correct verb tense in order to convey accurate information and avoid confusion.

Main Activity (20 minutes): 1. Provide handouts with exercises that require students to identify and use different verb tenses. 2. Instruct students to work individually or in pairs to complete the exercises. 3. After they have finished, review the answers as a class, discussing any questions or difficulties they encountered.

Practice (15 minutes): 1. Divide the class into small groups. 2. Give each group a set of verb tense flashcards or slips of paper with verbs written on them. 3. Instruct the groups to create sentences using the verb tense indicated on the flashcard or slip of paper. 4. Encourage students to be creative and use a variety of verbs in their sentences. 5. Have each group share their sentences with the class.

Wrap-up (5 minutes): 1. Review the importance of using the correct verb tense in communication. 2. Ask students to reflect on what they have learned about verb tenses and how they can apply this knowledge in their writing and speaking. 3. Provide any additional clarification or answer any remaining questions.

Extension Activity (optional): 1. Assign a writing task where students have to write a short paragraph or story using different verb tenses. 2. Have students share their writing with a partner or with the whole class for feedback and discussion.

Assessment: - Observe students’ participation and engagement during the activities. - Review their completed exercises and flashcard sentences for accuracy in using verb tenses. - Evaluate their writing tasks for correct usage of verb tenses.
