Welcome back to school, Year 4! To kick off the new school year, here’s a fun and engaging activity for you:

Activity: “All About Me Collage”

Objective: To help students get to know each other better and create a sense of belonging within the classroom.

Materials needed: 1. Magazines or newspapers 2. Scissors 3. Glue sticks 4. Construction paper or poster board 5. Markers or colored pencils

Instructions: 1. Begin by discussing the importance of getting to know each other and creating a positive classroom environment. 2. Explain that each student will create an “All About Me Collage” that represents their interests, hobbies, and personality. 3. Provide each student with a piece of construction paper or poster board. 4. Ask students to cut out pictures and words from magazines or newspapers that represent who they are and what they enjoy. 5. Encourage them to be creative and choose images that reflect their favorite activities, sports, books, movies, animals, etc. 6. Once they have collected enough pictures and words, instruct students to arrange and glue them onto their construction paper or poster board. 7. After completing their collages, give students an opportunity to share and present their work to the class. 8. As a follow-up activity, you can create a display in the classroom where all the collages are showcased, allowing students to appreciate and learn more about their classmates.

This activity will not only help students express themselves creatively but also foster a sense of community and understanding among the class. Have fun and enjoy getting to know each other better!
