Today has been an amazing day! I am Adam Reichelt, and I now call New Zealand my home. After much searching and saving, I am finally here and ready to start my job as a chef at one of the most prestigious restaurants in Auckland. It is such a thrill to be able to take on this challenge and I am so excited to get started.

I had the pleasure of meeting my fellow colleagues today, who were all so welcoming and helpful. Together we went for a walk around the kitchen and got an understanding of the menu and the meals that I will be preparing on a daily basis. All of the ingredients are so fresh and of high quality, making it a dream come true for me. After such a vigorous kitchen tour, I was eager to start creating some amazing meals.

In the evening I spent some time exploring the city, checking out all the local restaurants, cafés, and shops. Everywhere I go I am endlessly inspired. I can’t believe I get to be part of this amazing food scene and I’m so proud to be here.

I am so looking forward to carrying out my work as a chef here in New Zealand, and I can’t wait to share some of my recipes with the world!
