Introduction (10 minutes): 1. Display the title of the story, “The Wise Ant and the Lazy Grasshopper,” on the board or chart paper. 2. Read the story aloud to the students, pausing at appropriate moments to show the illustrations or ask questions to check for understanding. 3. Ask the students to describe Andy and Gus, focusing on their personalities and behaviors. 3. Discuss the consequences of Andy’s hard work and planning, as well as Gus’s carefree attitude. 4.
