Procedure:
Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Greet the students and ask them if they like animals. 2. Show them a picture of an animal and ask them to identify it. 3. Introduce the topic by explaining that today we will learn the names of different animals in Urdu.
Vocabulary Activity (10 minutes): 1. Display flashcards or pictures of various animals. 2. Pronounce the name of each animal and ask the students to repeat after you. 3. Encourage students to share any additional information they know about each animal.
Group Discussion (10 minutes): 1. Divide the class into small groups. 2. Provide each group with a chart paper and markers. 3. Ask each group to choose an animal and draw it on the chart paper. 4. Instruct the students to write the name of the animal in Urdu below the drawing. 5. Allow the groups to present their charts to the class and share interesting facts about their chosen animal.
Listening and Speaking Activity (10 minutes): 1. Read a short story or show a video related to animals. 2. Pause at certain points and ask questions about the animals mentioned in the story or video. 3. Encourage students to answer the questions using the animal names they have learned.
Worksheet Activity (10 minutes): 1. Distribute worksheets with animal names written in Urdu. 2. Instruct the students to match the animal names with the corresponding pictures. 3. Walk around the class to provide assistance and monitor their progress.
Conclusion (5 minutes): 1. Recap the names of animals learned during the lesson. 2. Ask students to share their favorite animal and why they like it. 3. Provide positive feedback and praise their efforts in learning new vocabulary.
